Waves, shorelines and open water

Crashing Waves Along the Seashore shows successive bands of surf moving towards a reflective beach beneath a broad sky. Other coastal works turn to quiet water, exposed rocks and the meeting of land and sea. The variety makes it possible to compare a distant horizon with the closer textures of breaking water.

Autumn light and woodland interiors

Indian Summer frames sunlit water with autumn trees, using the upright trunks to lead the eye into the distance. In In the Woods, the view becomes more enclosed, with large trees and dense foreground growth surrounding a small opening. These inland paintings offer a greener counterpart to the sea views.

Lakes and mountain country

The collection also includes Lake Squam, New Hampshire mountain views and scenes in the Adirondacks. These subjects extend the range from coastal weather to stiller inland water and wooded slopes. Explore landscape prints for further lake, forest and mountain settings.
