Martín Rico Prints – Venice Waterfronts, Gardens & Light
Martín Rico prints bring buildings, boats and planted spaces together along bright waterways. Pale façades and small figures remain distinct within views that often open towards broad sky and reflected light. Explore the collection alongside Venice wall art, architecture prints and boat subjects, comparing open waterfronts with more enclosed canals.
A long waterfront beyond the boats
The Riva degli Schiavoni in Venice spreads pale buildings along the opposite bank, with small craft and larger sails across the foreground water. Soft clouds occupy much of the upper view. The broad arrangement allows boats, reflections and façades to remain separate while still sharing the same bright atmosphere.
The boat within the canal setting
Gondola on the Grand Canal places a dark gondola among reflective water and the surrounding Venetian architecture. The vessel’s low outline contrasts with the taller façades and vertical posts. Compare the close relationship between boat and buildings here with the wider spacing of the craft along the open waterfront.
Planted space behind the canal wall
Garden of the Vendramin Palace sets trees and pale buildings above a warm wall at the water’s edge. A low boat passes beneath the larger planted area. The foliage interrupts the repeated architectural surfaces, giving the canal view a softer central mass while keeping the water as a clear foreground band.
