A fine late Victorian oil on board oil painting of a Cumbrian mountain scene. The hazy sky and loosely painted foliage make a very atmospheric image. Set in a cream mount and vintage rustic gold painted frame.

Measures 12" (31cm) tall x 16 (41cm) wide overall and the gold painted frame and cream mount is approx. 2.5  inches wide.   Acrylic glazed front panel.  Some minor crackling of the paintwork and historic minor loss of frame decoration add to the character of this delightful painting.
