"This is an original oil painting by me. I never paint the same thing twice so it is completely unique. I have previously sold a lot of my work from my own exhibitions in France and have now decided to sell via the internet.
I favour an impressionist style with soft natural colours. I like to create a fresh, spontaneous and atmospheric look to my paintings.
This painting is of my daughter Cleo on a pretty Victorian chair. I wanted to create a soft almost dreamy look to the picture with an understated elegance. Her exceptionally long hair works well with the feel of the painting and the dark colour is a good contrast to the muted pastels. I have been very inspired by the work of Pierre-Auguste Renoir and Mary Cassatt."
This painting measures 20" x 24" and is in a 3" cream painted wooden frame.
