Bring the radiant colours and expressive beauty of the Caucasus into your home with Martiros Sarian's Armenian Landscape. One of the defining painters of modern Armenian art, Sarian transformed familiar hills, valleys and villages into luminous celebrations of light, colour and national identity. Available as premium Martiros Sarian prints and museum-quality canvas panels, this remarkable landscape makes an inspiring focal point for contemporary and traditional interiors alike.

Whether displayed in a living room, hallway, study or office, Armenian Landscape captures the warmth and vitality that made Sarian one of the most admired colourists of the twentieth century. Rich blues, glowing ochres, vibrant greens and warm earth tones combine to create an uplifting composition that complements both minimalist and colourful décor.

A Celebration of the Armenian Landscape

Armenian Landscape reflects Martiros Sarian's lifelong fascination with the natural beauty of his homeland. Rather than pursuing strict realism, he distilled the landscape into bold shapes and brilliant colours that communicate atmosphere, emotion and place. Influenced by Post-Impressionism and Fauvism while remaining deeply rooted in Armenian culture, Sarian created landscapes that feel both timeless and unmistakably modern.

The painting evokes the clear mountain air, rolling hills and brilliant sunlight of Armenia, expressing the artist's profound connection with the country's natural environment. Its harmonious composition and confident use of colour make it one of the finest examples of Sarian's distinctive artistic vision.

About Martiros Sarian

Martiros Sarian (1880–1972) was one of Armenia's greatest artists and is widely regarded as the founder of modern Armenian painting. Born in Nakhichevan-on-Don, he studied at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture before developing a highly individual style influenced by Impressionism, Fauvism and Symbolism.

Throughout his career, Sarian became renowned for his luminous landscapes, floral compositions and scenes depicting Armenian life. Rather than reproducing nature exactly, he sought to express its emotional power through vibrant colour and simplified forms. His paintings celebrated the landscapes, architecture and traditions of Armenia with remarkable optimism and visual energy.

Today, Martiros Sarian's works are held in major museums throughout Armenia and internationally. His enduring influence has established him as one of the most important painters of the twentieth century, and Martiros Sarian prints remain highly sought after by collectors who appreciate expressive landscape art, colourful modern paintings and Armenian cultural heritage.
