An original 1950's oil painting of a Provencal street scene, initialled by the artist, Alan Platts. A delicately painted scene showing two elderly gents enjoying the afternoon sunshine in the quiet sidestreets of Saint Remy de Provence. The contrast between light and shadows has been beautifully captured by a very talented artist - a wonderful representation of summer in Provence.
The framed painting measures 11" (28cm) tall x 13" (33cm) wide overall and the gold wood frame is approx.1 3/4 inch wide.
