Flower heads above slender green stems

Pink Chrysanthemum sets several richly divided blooms against a pale ground. Pink and darker petals give each head a different edge and centre. The open surrounding space leaves the branching stems legible, allowing the arrangement to retain both botanical detail and a clear overall silhouette.

An open bloom beside the closed bud

Lotus Flowers places the flower and taller bud on separate upright stems against light blue colour. A large leaf adds another shape at one side. The difference between the broad petals and narrow closed form gives the simple arrangement its main contrast.

A mountain reflected beyond the small boats

Mount Fuji as Seen from Kashiwabara raises the snowy peak above low land and calm foreground water. Reeds and two narrow vessels provide closer detail. The reflection gives the mountain another form below, while the broad sky keeps the view open around its clear outline.
