Figures within the richly furnished room

Salon Interior places small seated bodies among dark patterned walls, bright fabric, pictures and a large canopy. Pale tabletop and clothing accents emerge from the surrounding colour. The scale of the room gives its possessions a presence comparable to that of the people.

A small vehicle within the open landscape

Dusty Road sets a distant cart or carriage along a pale route beneath a large changing sky. Dust softens the middle ground, while trees and rough banks define the near edge. The broad view contrasts with the dense enclosure of the furnished salon.

A gathering around the bright table

Condemned Cell brings adults and children together within a dark room, their faces and hands catching separate patches of light. Different postures establish smaller encounters. The pale table surface gives the closely grouped figures a shared centre within the otherwise shadowed setting.
