Pale monuments among rounded greenery

The Churchyard in Svanninge places upright stones and crosses between dark trees and shrubs. The surrounding greens vary in depth without describing every leaf. Larger pale shapes in the foreground establish a clear route through the darker forms, keeping the churchyard readable as a compact arrangement of masses.

A light road running between green fields

Road near Fåborg on Funen uses the broad pale track to lead towards a low horizon. Trees and narrow dark posts interrupt the sides, while fields spread out beyond them. Simplified outlines make the route especially clear and give the surrounding landscape a strong, measured structure.

Two dark silhouettes on a shared seat

Two Ladies turns the seated figures towards one another within a pale, loosely marked setting. Their faces and hands emerge as small light areas within the dresses. The close grouping makes posture and the interval between the heads more prominent than any detailed description of the room.
