Interiors and divided spaces

La Chambre Rouge uses red walls, a dark doorway and the mantelpiece to divide the room into distinct areas. A standing figure occupies one part of the interior while objects and reflections draw attention elsewhere. Other domestic scenes place figures near tables, cupboards and writing surfaces, where the room’s arrangement remains important.

Sunsets and broad colour fields

Sunset at Grace, Orange and Violet Sky arranges bands of orange, violet and blue above the water, framed by dark trees. The clearly separated shapes give the view a different character from a loosely painted study of changing light. Browse landscape prints for contrasting treatments of the same subject.

Rivers, portraits and reclining figures

Seine at Tournedos turns to a quieter riverbank, with a bright green strip of grass against pale water and distant hills. Portraits and nudes elsewhere extend the collection into the figure. Explore nude art and portrait prints for further comparisons.
