Paul Kleinschmidt Expressionist Prints
Paul Kleinschmidt, a German painter born in 1883, studied art in Berlin under influential mentors. Renowned for his lithographs and engravings, he exhibited in Berlin before fleeing political repression to the Netherlands and France. Despite being briefly imprisoned during WWII, he faced artistic suppression by the Nazis. Tragically, he lost everything in an air raid in 1945 and succumbed to illness in 1949.
