An original 1950's oil paints and oil pastels piece of art of a pond with village church in the background, signed by the artist.
The framed painting measures 19.5" (49cm) tall x 37.5" (95.5cm) wide overall and the gold wood frame is approx. 1 1/2 inches wide.
A most unusual landscape with a small pond and heavily textured, dark trees with dense foliage in the foreground creating almost a sense of mystery as the viewer looks into the scene to see the little village church way into the distance. To the left of the painting is a pathway along the side of the fields and probably leading to the village beyond.
